Sell Your Antiques in Birmingham, AL

Peddling Post sells antiques on consignment for Birmingham-area owners. We price, photograph and list each piece, market it to the right buyers, and pay you when it sells. Standard commission is 60% to you and 40% to Peddling Post.

How do I sell antiques with Peddling Post?

1. Fill out the Get Started form with a description or photos.
2. Bring pieces to Coolbox Storage on Overton Road, or we come to you for $1 per mile round trip.
3. We research comparable sales, set the price and list the piece.
4. You get paid when it sells, by check or Venmo.

How much is my antique worth?

We can value an item for $15, with comparable sales and our view of what it will actually sell for in today’s resale market, within 24 hours Monday to Friday.

Auction or consignment for antiques?

An auction sells on one day to whoever is bidding. Consignment gives a piece weeks or months to find the right buyer online and locally. Peddling Post also sells through auction platforms, so we can recommend the better route for each piece.

What antiques do you not accept?

We do not sell items with a resale value under $50, or pieces that are broken, stained or missing parts. Lamps, rugs and linens are not accepted.
