Help Moving to Assisted Living or a Care Facility

When a parent moves to independent living, assisted living or a nursing home in Birmingham, Peddling Post handles their belongings. We catalog everything so the family can decide what to keep, sell or donate, then sell and donate on the timeline you set.

How does it work?

1. A personal consultation. We learn your needs, priorities and timeline and build a plan around them.
2. A digital catalog. Every item is photographed so the family can make informed decisions about what to keep, sell or donate.
3. The sale. We run an estate sale in person or online, with professional listings, photography and a pricing plan.
4. Donation and disposal. We offer donation pickup or point you to services that dispose of unsold items responsibly.

What happens to items that do not sell?

We help arrange donation or disposal. Peddling Post assists with this but is not responsible for unsold items.

Why use a service instead of doing it ourselves?

A move to care is hard on a family. We take the sorting, pricing and selling off your plate so you can focus on the person making the move.
